Stoughton Sweeps Portage in Badger Small Dual
Stoughton girls tennis team had a big win against Portage in a Badger Small Conference dual meet.
The Vikings won all nine matches, including two in three sets.
Stoughton's No. 1 singles player, junior Anna Kloskin, defeated Portage's No. 1 singles player, senior Emily Atkinson, 6-1, 6-0.
Stoughton's No. 2 singles player, junior Ellie Beirne, defeated Portage's No. 2 singles player, junior Emily Atkinson, 6-1, 6-1.
Stoughton's No. 3 singles player, junior Sarah Garfoot, defeated Portage's No. 3 singles player, sophomore Olivia Soderstrom, 6-1, 6-2.
Stoughton's No. 1 doubles team, senior Olivia Bieri and junior Ellie Beirne, defeated Portage's No. 1 doubles team, senior Emily Atkinson and junior Emily Atkinson, 6-0, 6-1.
Stoughton's No. 2 doubles team, junior Anna Kloskin and junior Sarah Garfoot, defeated Portage's No. 2 doubles team, sophomore Olivia Soderstrom and freshman Ava Davis, 6-3, 6-1.
Stoughton's No. 3 doubles team, senior Abby Martin and sophomore Brooke Beirne, defeated Portage's No. 3 doubles team, freshman Ava Davis and freshman Emily Atkinson, 6-1, 6-0.
The win improves Stoughton's record to 6-2 overall and 2-0 in the Badger Small Conference.
Portage falls to 3-5 overall and 0-2 in the Badger Small Conference.
